POSITIVE SCHOOL CULTURE
Our very presence influences the physical space we create and occupy in our organizations. A leader’s self–awareness and self-determination are essential to making decisions with clarity of mind, compassionate heart, and sincerity in action. Unfortunately, a leader’s ability to make decisions is obstructed by stress.
It is necessary to acknowledge stressors, address them, and take care of them in healthy ways while developing transformational leadership characteristics, such as self-awareness, social awareness, empathic capacities, skillful listening, management of conflicts, perspective taking, and being present to the complex demands placed on people and systems.
It is equally important to explore the ignored element of our organization: Emotion. We explore how emotions influence attention, learning, academic and work performance, decision-making, and one’s ability to lead classrooms and schools.
Every training, workshop and coaching service incorporates specific mindfulness and self-management techniques to reduce stress, increase energy levels, and uplift all members of the school community. We need grace, strategy, and style to increase workplace satisfaction and performance.
This epidemic can be stopped with the JOYOUS EDGE METHOD© When employees engage and thrive in their own lives, they are more likely to maintain strong work performance-- even during difficult times. If leaders see themselves and others as able, valuable, and responsible for their internal state of joy, the ripple effect will enhance creativity, efficiency, and effectiveness in everything they do. In doing so, leaders choose their words and actions with care to empower others to improve their lives and add value to everyone they encounter and every venture they touch.
